Well Jeffrey and I stayed up till 2 in the morning working on the 1,000 pcs puzzle. So it was a bit of a slow start this morning. We ate breakfast and lunch in the house, and the boys just made a disaster of the place. But they were behaving really well, so we didn’t care about the mess.
Then we decided to go to the science museum, OMSI. This place is a must do for those with kiddos traveling in Portland. They had so many interactive sections and even a chemistry lab for the kids to do experiments. My favorite activity was the adjustable topographic map. You could move the sand around and the map would adjust accordingly.
After we finished up at the museum, we went to grab some grub at one of the many food truck stations. This was a great experience because everyone got the type of cuisine they desired, like a food court but way better food. Dre ordered a hotdog, me a chimichanga and Jeffrey had a hawaiian dish!
We retired to the house just in time to watch some basketball and let the kiddos play around.
Tip #19 – Make sure to have a couple days in one place. This has been really refreshing to stay in one place for 3+ days.
It looks like there is much to do in Portland. I am so glad you guys are have such a wonderful adventure. Day 18 coverage was a little abbreviated; I am guessing you were a little worn out from all the activities. A food truck court sounds like a great way to have lunch!
